Introduction

Primary Purpose of the Commission

Mongolia, as a Member State of UNESCO, established the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO and approved its charter in March 1963 in compliance with Article VII of UNESCO’s Constitution, involving representatives from the government and relevant organizations. The National Commission’s purpose is to widely engage national organizations in spreading and implementing the ideals, calls, and principles of UNESCO, as well as to plan, direct, and coordinate UNESCO-Mongolia cooperation.
