UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia is calling for two project proposals: one on capacity building workshops on gender equality in media, and one on training workshops on disability equality in media.
Project Objectives /Gender Equality in Media/
- Enhance the capacity of regulatory and legislative bodies, and relevant authorities to develop and implement policies promoting gender equality in media.
- Raise awareness of UNESCO's GSIM framework and its application for fostering gender-sensitive media practices.
- Encourage the development of ethical codes that promote gender equality in media content creation and production.
Project Objectives /Training Workshops on Disability Equality in Media/
- Enhance the capacity of media institutions to produce content that is inclusive and accessible to persons with disabilities.
- Raise awareness of the UNESCO Practical Manual on Disability Equality in Media and Master Class Video Series among media professionals.
- Equip chief editors and managers with the knowledge and tools to implement transformative actions that promote disability equality within their organizations.
